Albena Vatcheva is a contemporary French artist born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1967. Her fantastical figurative scenes, richly layered with pattern and texture, are inspired by Bulgarian, Indian, Persian, and other international motifs, fairy tales, and artistic traditions.
