Linda Frueh uses fabric, encaustic, and a soft pastel palette to create a calming, texturized piece. Pre-framed in a warm silver floating frame.
Linda Frueh is an encaustic fine artist expressing an emotional journey through color, texture and bold composition. She is located in San Diego, California, but has established a strong presence in Washington D.C., as well as Southern California. Frueh is influenced by the color field painter, Mark Rothko, a modernist pastel artist Wolf Kahn, and June Schwarcz who creates enameled vessels. Frueh has decades of foundational experience in drawing, sculpture, metalsmithing, enameling and mixed media. She uses materials in unusual ways, including fabric and encaustic, cloisonné enameling techniques combining metal, glass and encaustic.
